Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Binge is operated by Bounty Studio, Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse our catalog, watch videos, manage an account, make purchases, use our websites, or contact us.

For questions or privacy requests, contact support@bounty.app.

2. Information We Collect

Account and sign-in information

We process your account identifier, name, email address, sign-in provider and verification status. Apple or Google provides the information you authorize when you use their sign-in options. If you choose email sign-in, our email provider delivers a verification code. Session credentials are stored in your device's Keychain; server-side authentication records allow us to verify and revoke sessions.

Purchases and membership

Apple or Stripe processes your payment, depending on where you purchase. RevenueCat helps us verify purchases and manage membership across supported platforms. We process your account-linked customer identifier, purchased product, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiration dates, subscription status and refund information. We do not receive your full payment card number.

Viewing information on your device

Viewing history, playback positions, playback preferences and downloaded episodes are currently stored on your device, separated by account where applicable. They are not synchronized across your devices. You can remove local history and downloads through Profile settings.

Network, security and support information

Our hosting, authentication and media providers receive network requests that may include IP addresses, device or browser details, timestamps, requested resources and error information. Clerk also receives an identifier assigned to your device by Apple for apps from the same vendor; authentication and hosting services may derive an approximate region from your IP address. Media services process requests and delivery statistics for the videos you watch. We use this information to deliver content, protect accounts and investigate failures. If you contact us, we process your contact details, message and any information you choose to provide.

Creator submissions

If you use our creator portal, we process the videos, artwork, metadata and review correspondence you submit. Approved content and its public metadata may be shown to viewers; drafts remain subject to the portal's access controls.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide accounts, authenticate requests and protect the service against fraud and misuse.
  • Deliver catalog information, stream videos and prepare downloads you request.
  • Verify purchases, grant appropriate membership access, handle renewals and apply refunds or revocations.
  • Review creator submissions and respond to support, copyright and privacy requests.
  • Investigate technical problems, enforce our terms and meet applicable legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide the service you request, pursue legitimate interests in secure and reliable operation, comply with legal obligations, or act on consent where required.

4. Service Providers and Disclosures

We disclose information needed for the following services:

  • Cloudflare hosts application services and delivers and stores media through Stream and R2.
  • PlanetScale stores content-management records and the account identifiers associated with them.
  • Apple and Google provide the sign-in options you choose. Apple also processes App Store purchases.
  • Clerk manages accounts, sign-in, sessions and email verification.
  • RevenueCat verifies and manages subscription entitlements; Stripe processes website payments.

Providers handle information under their agreements and privacy policies. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect people or the service, or in connection with a corporate transaction subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell personal information.

5. Cookies, Tracking and Device Permissions

Our websites may use necessary session and security cookies. The native app uses local storage for preferences and your Keychain for credentials. This version does not include advertising tracking SDKs. If our data practices change, we will update this policy and request permission where required. You can control cookies and device permissions in your browser or device settings.

6. Retention and Security

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After deletion, we may retain limited records when required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or other legal obligations. Payment providers may retain transaction records under their own obligations; deleting a Binge account does not erase records held independently by Apple or Stripe.

We use access controls, encrypted connections and secure credential storage. No service or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, subject to applicable transfer requirements.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, restrict or object to the processing of your information, or withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise applicable rights; we may verify your identity. You may also contact your local privacy regulator.

  • Edit your display name or sign out from Profile → Account.
  • Initiate account deletion from Profile → Account. Recent authentication may be required to protect your account.
  • Remove local viewing history and downloads from Profile settings.
  • Manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple subscription settings. For a website subscription, use the management link supplied with your purchase or contact support.

Account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel recurring billing separately if you no longer want it.

8. Children

Binge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Content may have a higher age rating. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest version; we will provide additional notice when required. For support or privacy questions, contact Bounty Studio, Inc. at support@bounty.app.
